Hair Terminology

Image
Hair Terminology Buzz Cut The Buzz Cut is a generic term for a short, buzzed haircut, and is also known as a military cut. There are several kinds of buzz cuts. You can ask for anything from a super short buzz cut (a.k.a. an induction cut, blade #0-#1) to a longer buzz cut (a.k.a. a butch cut, blade #4 or longer). To be safe, identify the length you want by its blade number. In this manner, you’ll avoid any confusion. Crew Cut A Crew Cut has tapered on the sides and back but is longer on top. The top is cut in a uniformly to a single length or tapered slightly with the front longer than the back. Ivy League An Ivy league is much like a Crew Cut, but several blade numbers longer. Some barbers will even use scissors for the top of the head instead of clippers. You can also refer to this cut as a Harvard, Princeton Clip, or Brown. The Businessman is another simple tapered haircut. The top is cut approximately 2 inches long. The rest is tapered wit...

How To Wear A Scarf

Image
How To Wear A Scarf Big & Bold Anything looks good if you have the confidence to pull it off. This guy didn’t shy away from color or a recognizable pattern, and it looks like the scarf might be as tall as he is if you untied it, but he makes it work. The Main Attraction Scarves can add a strong element of style to even the most demure attire. Use a scarf as an opportunity to inject colour into your look. As long as it doesn’t compromise the functionality or aesthetic of the rest of your outfit, no one will question using a scarf as the pièce de résistance. Mr. Small & Simple This one won’t keep you warm in the winter, but it will keep you at the top of the best dressed list. A small scarf could be just the extra dose of swagger your outfit needs. Pick something with a bold colour or design, or choose a scarf that compliments your other accessories, like chap’s hat and sunglasses. The copyright belongs to https://www.dmarge.com/2017/06/how...

Change Your Perspective

Image
Change Your Perspective What position to stand, for any reason, have different answers. Life is like a cube. You get different results from different angles. We must be cautious in doing things, think in many ways, and have achieved the final result more perfect! Look at a thing to observe in many ways, do not just look at things from a single angle. If there is only half a glass of water on the table, some people are pleased to see it, but some people will be very frustrated when they see it. If you look at a thing from a different angle, you will get a different view of the world. If you dare to change your perspective, you will have a chance to succeed from a different view. The heart will open up, the dark world will become brighter, and the confused situation will become clear. In the same world, some people feel the winter; some people feel the summer, not who is wrong, because you are at the equator, he is in the Arctic. In the same world,...

Aesthetics of Self-Expression

Image
Aesthetics of Self-Expression Coming to the final show of Milan Fashion Week, Alessandro Michele continued to emphasize the self-expression and unfettered “beauty”, presenting the Gucci 2020 Spring/Summer collection. Different from the visual experience of the past, Gucci's simple show leads us back to nature, showing the innate beauty. False eyelashes have always been synonymous with glamour. To break Gucci's norms, makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver puts false eyelashes on the eyebrows, in stark contrast to almost plain skin. Whenever Michele collaborates with hair stylist Paul Hanlon, they present a rethinking look in a unique way. This season, the irregular short bangs are the main ones. The length of the bangs are different, which makes the sense of layering more natural and lazy. In order to create a feeling of ease and simplicity, in addition to the short Liu overseas, the middle and metal hair clips are also refreshing match,...

Popular Haircuts

Popular Haircuts Mermaid Shag Move over, mermaid braid. The mermaid shag is here to make you pop some biotin and grow your hair out. "It allows women to have all of their length while changing up the layers," explains Tim Duenas, a master stylist at Nine Zero One in L.A. "Ask your stylist to create layers without any that frame your face, which will keep your haircut looking modern." They add tons of texture and give the look a cool, rock-star vibe. Strong Bob The strong bob—also known as a blunt bob—is on the rise in S.F. "This cut is a statement," says Jon Reyman, owner of Spoke & Weal salons in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago. "Cool is more important than 'sexy' right now. Or rather, cool is the new sexy." The strong bob works for any hair texture, but if yours is dense, ask your stylist to thin it out first. Chandelier Layers The 2018 version of beach waves? Chandelier l...

What To Wear This Fall

Image
What To Wear This Fall A pop of color The colder seasons aren’t just about neutrals anymore. A pop of color could do everyone a world of good, and even the trendsetters agree. Look out for super bright hues like decadent, royal purple or cobalt blue, – even a neon orange. Play around with standalone pieces like coats with different textures. Beanies Berets are having a fashion moment but this once street-style-only look is being juxtaposed with higher fashion and more feminine looks for a cool and comfy wardrobe addition. Black, grey, and camel are our favorite, versatile looks. Monochromatic Suits The power suit has made a comeback for women recently, and with society’s new bout of feminism, women are harnessing their goddess power more than ever. We love them in velvet or corduroy with a statement color, with a long duster coat. Such an “Annie Hall” throwback! Art Infused Garments Pastels aren’t the only colorful trend taking Autumn by ...
